Dr. Hendrik Balonier is the Managing Director of PPV AG.
He possesses comprehensive international experience in the field of executive search and has led international teams of management and HR consultants. With his integrated project teams, he has guided his clients’ HR organizations in the direction of effective leadership and modern business partner role concepts.
After completing his studies in mathematics, linguistics, and philosophy with his doctorate dissertation, he spent three years of post-doc work on a range of different research assignments.
The first steps of his professional career saw him move from agency to executive consulting work. He developed a medium-sized executive consulting firm with considerable international presence and was responsible for the successful foundation of affiliate firms in Germany and abroad.
He was appointed to the position of a Senior Partner at Heidrick & Struggles, where he was in charge of the global life science practice and developed a number of large-scale key accounts.
At Kienbaum, he was the Managing Director in charge of the firm’s entire Executive Search operations.
Hendrik Balonier has over three decades of experience in executive search and has left his mark in the supervisory and executive boards and the leadership and specialist teams of numerous companies, with a particular focus on the chemical / pharmaceutical industry.
Dr. Karl Skriner holds a Ph.D. in genetics. He has worked for more than 25 years in a research-intensive, academic and commercial field of drug development and IVD (in vitro diagnostics).
Karl has been a senior scientist in the international environment of Charité in Berlin and the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm for many years. He is responsible for the scientific direction of sizeable research groups. Additionally, he acts as co-founder of a platform technology company, clairvoyant GmbH. As a company in the field of personalized medicine and cancer therapy, projects are underway with pharmaceutical and clinical partners.
From 2012 to 2015 he was also CSO and founder of an innovative venture capital funded biotech spin-off of Max Planck Society. In this context, Karl holds a couple of patents of new approaches in the healthcare sector. Furthermore, Dr. Skriner is a medical laboratory auditor in the field of immunology and has been responsible for controlling medical laboratories and their tests since 2016.
He serves PPV AG as Head of the Supervisory Board since March´23.
Internationally acclaimed concert pianist Ana-Maria Vera has been performing around the world since childhood. An American pianist of Dutch-Bolivian origin, Vera made her professional debut when she was eight, and was awarded a Gold Record by Philips for her first recording at age twelve. She has performed at the White House for President Carter, and at age sixteen was honoured by the Bolivian state with a commemorative postage stamp.
Vera has appeared as soloist with the worlds’ leading orchestras and given countless solo recitals in venues such as the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Salle Gaveau in Paris and London’s Wigmore.
In 2011 Vera founded Bolivia Clásica, a charitable organization which supports an international music festival and a music academy and outreach programme. Focused on offering quality education to underprivileged Bolivian children via international cultural exchange, Bolivia Clásica includes non-profit platforms in London, La Paz and Washington D.C.
Prof. Dr. Peter Eigen has worked in economic development and governance for several decades and has led initiatives for better global governance and the fight against corruption.
A lawyer by training, Eigen has worked as a World Bank manager of programs in Africa and Latin America; from 1983-88 he was Programs Division Chief for Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Paraguay and Uruguay. Thereafter, he was the Director of the Regional Mission for Eastern Africa of the World Bank. Under Ford Foundation sponsorship, he provided legal and technical assistance to the governments of Botswana and Namibia to strengthen the legal framework for mining investments.
In 1993 Eigen founded Transparency International (TI), a civil society organization promoting transparency and accountability in international development. From 1993 to 2005 he was Chair of TI and until 2019 the Chair of its Advisory Council. During this period, he founded the Partnership for Transparency Fund and the International Civil Society Center, Berlin. From 2005-11, Eigen was the founding chairman of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI). Until 2020 he chaired as co-founder of the Humboldt-Viadrina Governance Platform its Fisheries Transparency Initiative.
Eigen has taught law and political science at the universities of Frankfurt/M, Harvard, SAIS/ Johns Hopkins, University of Washington and Bruges College of Europe. Since 2002, he is Honorary Professor of Political Science at the Freie Universität, Berlin. In 2000, he was awarded the Honorary Doctor’s degree at the Open University, UK, in 2004, the Readers Digest Award "European of the Year 2004", in 2007 the Gustav Heinemann Award, in 2017 the Inamory Award, and in 2019 the Deutsche Kulturpreis. Germany awarded Peter Eigen its Grand Cross of Merit in recognition of his efforts to combat corruption at the global level in January 2013.
2007-12 Eigen served on the Board of the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL) in Washington. 2009-12 he was the vice-chairman of the Management Board of the African Legal Support Facility. 2007-17 he served as a member of Kofi Annan’ Africa Progress Panel and is now the Co-Chair of its successor organization Africa Progress Group led by former President Obasanjo, Nigeria.
Prof. Dr. med. Aldenhoff holds the chair of psychiatry at the University of Kiel. He is the Director of the Psychiatric and Psychotherapeutic Clinic at the Zentrum für Integrative Psychiatrie gGmbH and Managing Director of ZIP gGmbH.
At PPV AG, he contributes his unique experience in the field of organizational development and structural design processes for hospitals.
As Principal Executive Consultant, Dr. Wroblewski is in charge of PPV’s pharmacovigilance business. He has decades of experience in a series of executive positions in pharmaceutical safety at Bayer, where he was able to contribute his unique combination of expertise as a qualified attorney and anaesthesiologist.
